What’s Inside ‘One Step Closer’?

Motivation, Hacks and Experiences to share with Millennial Catholics

  • Why being a minimalist happiness seeker doesn’t work.
  • How to develop a plan for turning your vices into virtue.
  • Why Holiness cannot be put off until heaven and what it takes.
  • My biggest temptation as a seminarian.

Hey, I am Br. Anthony…

For a while I have dreamed about inspiring and motivating others in their journey of faith and happiness. I pray that this book ‘One Step Closer’ is a small step in that direction.

How this came about

This past Lent someone asked me to explain more of what was behind the motivational phrases that I would post on my @catholic_life_coach Instagram account. Being a week before Lent I committed myself to compile 40 of these reflection/explanations for each day of Lent. And I did.

One Step Closer is not just for Millennials but everyone! In this step-by-step, easy to read & easy to digest book, you will find daily motivations and exercises to take a journey to engage (or re-engage) in your faith at a deeper level. Each of the chapters could stand alone for a daily dose of inspiration and reflection to take the reader through a 40-day plan for growth and self-discovery in their Catholic faith -or- could be read cover to cover in one sitting.  Perfect for Advent, Lent or anytime you need a little extra motivation!

“Br. Anthony combines both motivation and new media to help Millennial Catholics aspire to holiness. A refreshing and much-needed ministry in the world today!”

“You know you’ve got a good Catholic book in your hands when you slap the page and say, “That’s so true!” One Step Closer is book-slappin’ good. Small nuggets of Truth, bite-sized gems from the Holy Spirit make holiness manageable in this book, especially for young people today. Though each step is described as little, like a baby step toward God, we found that some served to be giant leaps in our spiritual lives. And although simple and straightforward, there’s nothing fluffy about One Step Closer. It’s an answer to our challenge to ‘walk the walk’.”

“As someone who has worked with young adults for a long time, this simple but deep book caught my eye as one that answers many of the questions my guys and girls usually have: how can I know God? How must I live? What type of friends are good for my life?… you can tell he knows by experience how to guide people in their journey through life.”
